The 3G iPhone, do we have it all wrong ?

Recently there has been an resurgence of iPhone related buzz across the internet. With MacWorld coming and going without any news of a 3G iPhone, many were skeptical of its release. The announcement of the 16GB iPhone post-MacWorld left many wondering why apple was holding off on the announcement. MacWorld is their premier event and would have been perfect for the announcement. Some claim that apple introduced the models now to offer a better price-point on entry for its 3G model rumoured to hit later this year.

A Refreshing Evening with The SD Blogger Community

Thanks to everyone that came out last night for our evening session entitled: Blogging. We had a large turnout and great participation from the group and loved the open discussion everyone was part of.

For those of you who don’t know what Refresh is, or have never been to an event here is a description from the website: Refresh San Diego is an open community of web designers, developers, and marketers working to refresh the creative, technical, and professional culture of Internet in the San Diego area. Meetings are usually the second Tuesday of each month where we discuss anything from design to marketing and everything in between. Topics that we’ll cover include: Design, Development, Marketing, Programming, Usability, Web 2.0, SEO, and more. Everyone interested in “refreshing” the Internet is welcome.

Our next session will be on buzz marketing! This is a topic I know the audience will be very excited about since we all love juicy information on how to build buzz around your products and services through innovative marketing tactics. We hope you all come and bring new peeps.

If you liked last night’s topic make sure to attend Blogger Meetup hosted by Matt Browne of Integral Impressions on February 26.

Fast Company Launches a LinkedIn+Netvibes Love Child <3

Techcrunch announced today the launch of Fast Company’s social network. Okay, so I went to their site and created an account. They’ve got features like feeds, bookmarks, multimedia, blogs, groups and many more. Pretty cool - one place to aggregate all of your stuff into one space. Plus if you like Fast Company it offers extra value (editors, writers, etc.). So after about 20 minutes of filling out my profile (seriously there is THAT much to fill out) I finally got to crawl around the space and see my options.

Fastcompany.com

It’s like a Netvibes and LinkedIn love child. Feeds+Contacts+Networking+Blogs = FastCompany.com

It’s cool, but what’s so great about it compared to LinkedIn where ALL of my contacts already are? It’s just another social space I have to remember to log in to or get too many email notifications from. What’s the value? What’s remarkable about it? What makes me WANT to come back? Answers are kindly appreciated ;)
