Mustaches, Chain Mail and Lumbergh

If you have ever visited us at our office in Bankers Hill, you probably were subjected to a collection of people sporting typical So-Cal gear with shorts, bare feet and the occasional 80s headband and shades.

Today was a bit different. Imagine yourself in a project status meeting sitting across from a dude in 40 pounds of chain mail and spitting image of Harry Potter ten years from now, even more Hairy. That was the scene today at a very special dt Halloween.

Here are a few shots from our day.  Let us know who you think has the best costume.

Designers: Tips For Achieving The Look That You Want

With most clients, there are weeks of planning and preparation that precedes the design phase. Here at dt, the first week or two (or three) is spent gathering as much information we can from our clients and transferring it into wireframes. Wireframes allow us to lay the framework for the pages that we will be designing. They include all of the key functionalities of each page and a basic page layout. We create our wireframes in product called axure that lets you set links from page to page and even generates an html prototype that can be posted online. This is awesome for us because it allows us to remotely click through use case scenarios with clients.

How We Work: Our Process and Pricing Guide for Web Design

In this day and age, being fiscally aware and responsible are really important things - I want to know where my money is going, and in what fashion. Service industries such as ours have always been plagued with a lack of clarity in pricing. At digital-telepathy, we believe that you should have an idea of what our services cost before you call or email us. So, while you’re kicking the tires and checking out our portfolio, read this post to see how our web design process works and how much loot all of this creative juice is going to cost.

Full disclosure, no secrets!

Full disclosure, no secrets!

When shopping for products, whether it’s a couch, food or a computer, both cost and quality play important roles in making a decision. The prices are clearly laid out, even for big ticket items such as homes and cars, so that we can make an informed decision. This being said, why is it that professional service industries don’t have this sort of transparency as a norm? Shouldn’t I be able to see the qualifications and cost commitment at-a-glance to determine if I can afford a particular lawyer, general contractor, or web shop? The answer to these questions should be, YES!

dt has always been committed to integrity and true transparency with all of our clients, both prospective and active. We calculate and provide clear, value-driven pricing on everything that we do. No smoke-n-mirrors, no secrets and definitely no BS! Granted, we’re not the low-price leader in web design firms, but do you really want the cheapest open-heart surgeon out there? You want the best for your dollar. We price our services on a value-based model: one which delivers comprehensive intellectual ROI immediately and throughout the business relationship. How We Maximize Customer Satisfaction On Web Projects

We strive to design the most functional and beautiful websites / web apps while at the same time delivering a high degree of customer service to our clients. Sometimes this is easier said than done. In order to develop a truly unique website, we have to challenge our clients which can lead to some heated discussions and disagreements.  It’s a risky move at times, but a necessary aspect of our creative process.

We also have many clients to simultaneously please with short deadlines, sudden change orders and differing expectations. It’s important that we treat each client equally, relative to their needs.  In order to keep ourselves aligned with our client’s experience, we perform 3 surveys throughout each project and make the appropriate adjustments, if necessary, based on the feedback we receive.

8 Reasons Why Statler and Waldorf Should Run for Office

We try not to get too political over here at dt, but in this case, we just-couldn’t-help ourselves. Here are a few reasons we think the infamous hecklers of The Muppet Show should run for President and Vice President!
