The place to be in San Francisco earlier this week was at the Palace Hotel - where TC40 was hosted. Every face you associate Web 2.0 with was present including panels of Michael Arrington of TechCrunch, Caterina Fake of Flickr, Brad Garlinghouse of Yahoo!, Mark Zuckerburg of Facebook, MC Hammer of the 80’s, and the list goes on.
SuggestionBox.com debuted at TC40 on Monday in the Demo Pit. The feedback was extremely positive and the exposure has already provided opportunities for SuggestionBox.com. The Demo Pit was full of VCs, entrepreneurs, established millionaires, press, and even a celebrity - this was the place to be to launch or debut your site. SuggestionBox had strong interest from all of these including AOL, MySpace, The New York Times & Forbes. Every person I talked to recognized the fact that SuggestionBox is an extremely straightfoward concept for both users & companies to grasp - which they loved.
I also got a lot of feedback from other Demo Pit participants about how they are excited to see the Web 2.0 Industry making waves in Southern California. I chatted with a GM from MySpace, originally from Del Mar, who loved the SuggestionBox concept and the fact that it is based in San Diego. The market down here is definitely growing and it’s an exciting time for entrepreneurs to stir up the industry in the San Diego region.
Finally, congrats to the SuggestionBox TC40 Event Team and a big congrats to the iPhone winners!
Also thanks to Scott Schlichter from dogmastudios for a great review on Crunchbase: “Now this is a great idea on all levels. Suggestion box finally opens a dialog between the consumer and the companies. The days of feeling alone are over.”

Michael Arrington and me - he is tall!

Congrats to our iPhone winner! Left, Scott Schroeder, one of the winners of the iPhone &
